Advantech recently launched the AOM-5721, a SMARC-based Arm Computer-on-Module powered by Qualcomm's QCS6490 System-on-a-chip (SoC). The module targets industrial and medical edge applications, providing advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing, multimedia capabilities, and connectivity.

The Qualcomm SoC features an 8-core Kryo Central Processing Unit (CPU) and an Adreno Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), offering up to 12 TOPS for AI functionalities. It serves various use cases, including robotics and automation while maintaining power efficiency for demanding applications.

Compatible with multiple operating systems, including Yocto 4.0+, Windows 11 Internet of Things (IoT), and Ubuntu Linux, the AOM-5721 supports software development kits and multiple cameras for machine vision. This integration positions organizations to deploy effective edge AI solutions across sectors.

Cohesity received recognition as a Leader in the 2025 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Cyber Recovery Vendor Assessment. This marks the company's second consecutive acknowledgment in this area, reflecting its capabilities in addressing modern cyber threats.

The assessment evaluated vendors based on their ability to mitigate downtime and enhance post-attack resilience. Cohesity's strengths include AI-assisted recovery orchestration, advanced threat detection, and cyber vaulting features aimed at improving organizational robustness.

Johnny Yu from IDC noted the challenges organizations face in selecting recovery vendors, emphasizing the report’s intent to guide decision-makers. Sanjay Poonen, CEO of Cohesity, articulated that this designation underscores a commitment to lowering ownership costs while enhancing resilience.

Domo announced its operations in the AWS Asia-Pacific Region, focused on supporting organizations in India and ensuring compliance with local data sovereignty regulations. The expansion aims to optimize performance and reduce latency for regional clients.

The move reflects Domo’s strategy to bolster its presence in the APAC market amidst rising demand for data services. The newly opened data center in Mumbai enhances local data management capabilities, aligning with security and compliance needs.

Crusoe appointed Matt Field as Chief Real Estate Officer, responsible for leading the company’s real estate strategy to support its expanding AI data center portfolio. Field’s expertise from TMG Partners brings valuable experience in securing properties essential for infrastructure development.

Crusoe is constructing a 1.2 gigawatt AI data center in Abilene, Texas, and plans a further 1.8 gigawatt facility in Wyoming, responding to growth in the AI sector. Field is expected to utilize his extensive background in commercial real estate to support these initiatives.

Tata Communications introduced a Voice AI platform designed for the BFSI sector, powered by Agentic AI. This platform enhances customer engagement with real-time decision-making and multilingual support across more than 40 languages.

The solution integrates with enterprise APIs, providing features like sentiment analysis and adaptive dialogue flows, aimed at improving customer interactions from start to finish.

Akamai’s report highlighted that while 90% of organizations use some form of segmentation, only 35% have adopted microsegmentation, which improves ransomware containment times. The research indicates numerous benefits associated with microsegmentation, motivating further investments in cybersecurity strategies.
