Crusoe appoints Matt Field as Chief Real Estate Officer
Matt Field has been appointed Chief Real Estate Officer at Crusoe, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure provider. Field transitioned from TMG Partners, where he was involved in commercial real estate for over 30 years, holding roles such as Chief Investment Officer and Co-CEO. His new responsibilities at Crusoe will involve leading the real estate strategy crucial for the company’s AI data centers.
Crusoe is in the process of constructing a 1.2 gigawatt AI data center in Abilene, Texas, and has announced plans for a 1.8 gigawatt facility in Wyoming. The company plans further global developments within its real estate portfolio.
Chase Lochmiller, co-founder and CEO of Crusoe, noted that Field’s extensive experience in development and finance is vital for securing properties necessary for expanding AI infrastructure. Field’s insights will assist Crusoe in addressing the increasing demand from its clients in the AI sector.
Field brings a wealth of experience in commercial real estate, having overseen more than $10 billion in transactions during his tenure at TMG Partners. His expertise will assist Crusoe in strategically acquiring land and managing facilities for its operations.
In his statement, Field expressed his commitment to joining Crusoe's teams to support the development of infrastructure for computing and to foster solutions for customer needs in hyperscale and cloud services.
