Atos reinforces data and AI position in Spain
Atos reinforced its position in data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Spain, according to an independent analysis by Penteo, as the country moved toward deploying AI at scale and making AI a core strategic concern.
Penteo’s Data & AI 2025 Universe Report said AI had moved from experimentation to a strategic priority, with organizations focusing on projects that delivered measurable returns in efficiency, revenue and cost reduction and relying on quality, governed and traceable data. The report also described uneven maturity across the Spanish market, with differing adoption patterns by organization size.
The analysis noted that Atos managed the full data and AI lifecycle—from strategy and architecture to industrializing models in production—using advanced analytics, Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI (GenAI) and automation, and applying DataOps, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and DevOps practices to support scalability and sustainability. The company also integrated data governance, cybersecurity and AI ethics across its work.
Atos combined strategic consulting, technology platforms, data engineering and applied AI to convert isolated initiatives into scalable AI programs and delivered projects with the Community of Madrid and Madrid City Council aimed at improving citizen engagement and service efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance and data sovereignty. This new Penteo report clearly reflects the shift we are witnessing in Spain and, more broadly, across Europe.
AI is moving within companies from the experimental phase to becoming an essential driver of competitiveness, business success and customer satisfaction. Atos’ teams are fully committed to supporting clients of all sizes and industries through this transformation, keeping security, responsibility and sovereignty at the heart of our priorities, as evidenced by recent Data & AI projects delivered to the Spanish public sector.
