Key Themes and Developments
Technology Releases & Product Enhancements
Ericsson integrated agentic AI into its NetCloud platform, enhancing self-healing and autonomy in private 5G networks. The upgrade “transforms the NetCloud Assistant (ANA)—a Generative AI (GenAI) tool—into a strategic entity capable of managing complex workflows across various AI agents,” said Ericsson. Ericsson also planned a troubleshooting agent “for Q4 2025,” with additional configuration and policy agents following in 2026.
Gilat Satellite Networks enhanced its Network Management System by integrating AI and Model Context Protocol effective immediately. It described NMS-MCP as “a link between the NMS and AI-driven agents,” and said it provides “authentication, licensing, and secure communication.” Use cases included an NOC agent that can “autonomously monitoring system performance and initiating corrective actions.”
Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
ASML and Mistral AI formed a partnership focused on product development enhancements through AI, with ASML investing €1.3 billion in Mistral AI’s Series C. Mitsubishi Electric also signed an agreement to acquire Nozomi Networks, aiming to strengthen Operational technology (OT) and cybersecurity capabilities, with the acquisition set to finalize in Q4 2025.
Cloudera was named a Leader in the IDC APAC MarketScape for Unified AI Platforms 2025, covering governance and security capabilities. Remus Lim said, “Being named a leader by IDC is a milestone that validates our vision of bringing AI to data anywhere.” Cloudera highlighted low-code/no-code AI Studios and “operational AI, agentic workflows.”
Infrastructure, Platform, or Deployment Updates
Dell’Oro Group reported that AI infrastructure demand contributed to “year-over-year growth of 44 percent in the second quarter of 2025” for the server and storage market. The report cited record demand for accelerators, HBM, and network interface cards, and projected “46 percent growth in the server and storage systems component market for 2025.”
Dell’Oro Group also forecast telecom CAPEX stabilization. It stated, “Capex is past the peak, but it is not falling off a cliff,” said Stefan Pongratz. The report expected capital intensity to approach 15 percent by 2029, and forecast wireless capital intensity to decline to between 12 and 13 percent by 2029.
