Capgemini unveils AI-driven enhancements for Ryder Cup 2025
Capgemini has introduced enhancements to its AI-powered Outcome IQ platform for the Ryder Cup 2025, providing real-time match insights. The platform is set to improve fan engagement during the event by offering dynamic probabilities and scenario simulations.
Outcome IQ, first used during the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome, delivers context-aware insights by analyzing live match data alongside historical player performance. Its upgrades for 2025 include the ability to process real-time shot-by-shot data and multiple analytics simultaneously, allowing commentators and fans to better grasp the unfolding competition.
New features for the upcoming event include real-time Generative AI (GenAI) insights across digital channels and “What If” scenarios that simulate potential match outcomes based on live conditions. This aims to provide a deeper understanding of momentum shifts and strategic decisions as the tournament progresses.
Capgemini Chief Innovation Officer Pascal Brier noted that the Artificial Intelligence (AI) system adapts to each moment in the match, generating real-time insights that enhance the viewing experience. Ryder Cup Europe's Chief Technology Officer Michael Cole emphasized the technology's role in providing clarity and excitement for both live attendees and remote viewers.
The advancements in Outcome IQ align with trends indicating that sports fans increasingly seek AI and GenAI for personalized content experiences. The platform will provide these insights during the tournament at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, available across multiple channels including social media and broadcasts.
