Capgemini releases TechnoVision top 5 tech trends for 2026

Capgemini released its TechnoVision “Top 5 Tech Trends to Watch in 2026” report in Paris on Distributed Edge Cluster (DEC). 9, 2025, and outlined technologies it said would reach an inflection point the following year and affect enterprise architecture and operations.

The report placed Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) at the center of the agenda and described a movement toward deeper integration, resilience, and measurable operational value across software, cloud architectures, and enterprise systems.

The document described five focal areas for 2026: a shift from isolated AI pilots to enterprise-wide AI implementations rooted in data foundations and infrastructure; the increasing role of AI in generating and maintaining software while governance and security remained necessary; the emergence of Cloud 3.0 encompassing hybrid, private, multi-cloud, sovereign and edge architectures as a unified fabric; the adoption of intelligent operations built around agentic systems and Human-AI co-steering; and a technology sovereignty posture that prioritized resilient interdependence through diversified suppliers, sovereign clouds, regional models, open platforms and new chip options.

Capgemini framed TechnoVision as a global program intended to present a comprehensive view of technology for decision-makers, and the company said it would publish the Top 5 Tech Trends report in January 2026 and the TechnoVision guide in February 2026; the press material also stated Capgemini had nearly 60 years of heritage, 420,000 team members in more than 50 countries, and reported 2024 global revenues of €22.1 billion.

“Last year, Capgemini’s Top 5 Tech Trends notably predicted the rise of AI robotics, a vision that became reality both in the market and at Capgemini with the launch of our AI Robotics & Experiences Lab and current experimentation with Orano,” said Pascal Brier.

Capgemini said the Top 5 Tech Trends report would be published in January 2026 and the TechnoVision guide would be published in February 2026.
