Rackspace Technology appoints Pranav Nambiar as AI Infrastructure SVP

Rackspace Technology appointed Pranav Nambiar as senior vice president and general manager, AI Infrastructure. The change gives Nambiar responsibility for the infrastructure and organizational approach behind Rackspace’s AI infrastructure offerings, including partnerships and go-to-market strategy.

The company linked its planning to a shift in enterprise AI work from early-stage pilots to production, where it described demand moving from raw GPU capacity to governed compute. It cited sovereign environments, compliance by design, and operational discipline at scale as elements of that shift.

Rackspace described its approach as being governed and model-agnostic for AI in production, including “sovereign, compliant and enterprise-ready AI.” The announcement also tied Nambiar’s role to leading the infrastructure, operating model, and partnerships behind those governed offerings.

Nambiar’s appointment followed roles at DigitalOcean, where he served as senior vice president and general manager of AI and Data Cloud, including oversight of AI and data cloud and production inference infrastructure. Prior experience included work at Google on generative AI and data services, and at AWS leading services such as Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Elasticsearch, and Amazon SageMaker. He also held leadership positions at Microsoft covering digital strategies across mobile, search, and Windows businesses.
