Rackspace Technology joined NVIDIA’s Cloud Partner Program, aligning with NVIDIA to support and operate NVIDIA accelerated computing alongside governed cloud environments. The move matters because it defines who is accountable for running an AI system end-to-end, rather than focusing only on supplying compute.
The company said the relationship deepened its ability to deliver and operate NVIDIA accelerated computing for regulated and sovereign enterprises, while supporting its AI Cloud strategy. Rackspace said the operator role extends beyond accelerated computing to running the complete environment continuously in production.
Rackspace described this approach as governed private and hybrid cloud operations paired with data, AI platforms and managed operations. As part of the partnership, Rackspace said it would support NVIDIA technologies across the enterprise AI stack, citing NCP competencies in Compute, Networking, Visualization and NVIDIA Enterprise Software.
Rackspace put the model into practice through its Institutional Sovereign Pod, described as a governed AI infrastructure architecture. The Pod was described as bringing together NVIDIA Blackwell architecture with Palantir Foundry and AIP in an environment Rackspace operates, with forward deployed engineering and managed operations to move from deployment to production. “Enterprise AI is becoming production infrastructure. At that point, the question is no longer simply who provides the GPU. It is who is accountable for operating the complete system,” said Gajen Kandiah, Chief Executive Officer, Rackspace Technology.
