Summary
Oracle has introduced the Oracle Fusion Setup and Configuration Registry (FSCR), a publicly available resource meant to reduce the manual work involved in configuring Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications during implementations.
Configuration tasks can consume considerable time during an implementation. The registry is built to carry out much of that work through software and AI agents, which allows teams to devote more attention to business transformation, process redesign, and making business processes agentic. Customers and partners have often rebuilt setup knowledge for each project, and static documentation can fall behind new capabilities.
The registry is a public Git repository whose AI skills capture Oracle product expertise and best practices. Those skills cover configuration options, dependencies, sequencing, execution, testing, and validation. Oracle built and continuously maintains the registry, which it describes as the authoritative, machine-readable, and executable source for Oracle Fusion Applications setup and configuration.
AI assistants and coding agents, including those from OpenAI, can translate business requirements, process documents, policies, and existing configurations into implementation runbooks. Agents then plan the required configuration, execute setup and updates directly in Oracle Fusion Applications, and test and validate the results. Expert reviewers examine completed configurations, request adjustments, and approve them for deployment.
Systems integrators can extend the registry with their own methodologies, accelerators, and automations. The registry is maintained alongside Oracle Fusion Applications, so customers, partners, and AI agents work from the same current foundation. “The Oracle Fusion Setup and Configuration Registry is like having an expert Oracle product manager guiding teams through the entire setup and configuration process,” said Chris Leone, executive vice president, Applications Development, Oracle.
“By embedding Oracle expertise and best practices directly into continuously updated AI skills, FSCR helps us move faster, and get clients to value sooner,” said DK Sinha, CEO, Accenture Edge.
