Nutanix is expanding its work with NVIDIA, Supermicro and Netris to help organizations deploy production AI more quickly and reduce AI costs. The collaborations focus on the infrastructure required to bring AI workloads into production.
Demand for production AI is growing, and organizations face pressure to deploy increasingly complex infrastructure faster while turning AI investments into business value. Nutanix is working with a broad group of infrastructure and silicon partners to simplify that path. The companies also aim to help neoclouds and service providers scale the multitenant AI services they deliver to customers.
Day Zero support for NVIDIA Vera CPUs is planned, starting with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) on bare metal and later extending to virtualized Nutanix environments. The companies described CPU performance as necessary for the steps between GPU operations in agentic workflows. Supermicro servers and NVIDIA GPUs would pair with Nutanix Agentic AI and NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking in a jointly engineered private inference system.
Nutanix and Netris plan to automate network-layer multitenancy, with Nutanix supplying compute, storage, security and Kubernetes services, and Netris supplying network automation, abstraction and multitenancy across the physical network fabric. Together, the companies intend to offer a self-service, cloud-like operating experience across bare-metal and virtualized AI infrastructure.
“Organizations need more than just advanced infrastructure to move agentic AI into production – we believe they need an AI cloud that simply connects intelligence, agents, enterprise applications, and data across CPUs, GPUs, virtual machines, containers, on-premises environments, and cloud,” said Thomas Cornely, Executive Vice President, Product Management at Nutanix.
“AI agents need fast CPUs to execute code, use tools and process data between model calls,” said Hannah Coutand, Director of Product Marketing for Vera CPU at NVIDIA. Plans and anticipated capabilities described remain subject to development, timing changes and other risks that could cause actual results to differ.
