Nutanix and Netris entered a strategic collaboration to build a jointly engineered multitenant infrastructure stack for neoclouds and enterprises. The companies designed the combined offering so that neoclouds and enterprises can bring secure, multitenant GPU services to market faster.
AI infrastructure demand is pushing neoclouds and enterprises to deploy large GPU clusters for a broad range of AI workloads. Offering that capacity as a service requires isolation between tenants across every layer, from compute and data processing units to physical switches. The companies say simpler deployment across bare-metal and virtualized environments will let neoclouds scale more efficiently and improve margins.
The joint stack pairs Nutanix Cloud Platform with the Netris NAAM platform, which automatically configures the physical network as tenant resources are provisioned. Cloud-grade networking constructs, including VPCs, elastic IPs, NAT, and L4 load balancers, are offered through a web console, REST API, and Terraform.
Unified networking applies across physical and virtual environments, translating Nutanix tenant requirements into network services for bare-metal and virtualized GPU nodes. The networking layer also supports edge, East-West, North-South, scale-up, and host-based traffic flows, while both hard isolation, enforced on networking hardware, and soft isolation extend from virtual workloads through the physical switching layer.
The stack is designed to let providers onboard customers instantly, maintain strict isolation between tenants from compute through the physical network, and deliver AI services through a cloud-like self-service experience.
“We chose to partner with Netris, a leader in network automation, abstraction, and multitenancy, to give operators true self-service networking across both bare-metal and virtualized environments,” said Ketan Shah, Vice President, Product Management, Nutanix. The joint solution is planned to be available in tech preview in early 2027, and its development, release, and timing remain subject to change.
