NSS Labs appointed Dominick Delfino as Executive Advisor and said he will advise its leadership team as the company expands testing for AI-driven cybersecurity. The appointment came as NSS Labs described a need for independent validation of security efficacy at a time when automated threats have become more sophisticated.

The company framed its work around product validation rather than product deployment. It said enterprises need real-world testing to separate marketing claims from security performance, and it linked that need to the requirements of AI. NSS Labs also described its position as focused on transparency and data-driven evidence in security assessment.

Delfino recently served as Global Vice President of Cybersecurity Sales at Google Cloud, where he led global go-to-market strategy for the security portfolio, including Mandiant integration. His background also included chief revenue officer roles at Nutanix and Pure Storage, along with senior roles at VMware and Cisco.

Under the advisory role, Delfino will focus on global sales, strategic partnerships, and roadmap alignment. NSS Labs said the work would connect the company’s plans to shifting AI requirements while it grew its enterprise programs.
