Nokia selected by CoreSite for routing-based network solution
Nokia has been selected by CoreSite to implement an Internet Protocol routing-based network solution across 30 data center in the U.S. This deployment aims to support the increasing demands of data-intensive and mission-critical applications, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High performance computing (HPC).
The Nokia portfolio will address the cloud connectivity needs of CoreSite’s nearly 40,000 customer interconnections. As enterprises ramp up their service demands, CoreSite is focused on ensuring high performance and scalability for its networking infrastructure.
Chris Malayter, Vice President of Network and Interconnection at CoreSite, stated, “Our customers expect best-in-class performance and reliability at every level of the network. By deploying Nokia’s advanced IP routing portfolio across our data center campuses, we ensure that our network edge infrastructure stays ahead of market demands, providing customers with a seamless experience and faster access to mission-critical applications.”
The Nokia 7250 Interconnect Router is set to deliver advanced routing capabilities, while the Nokia 7750 Service Router will provide the necessary scale and reliability for IP interconnectivity within the data center. The integration of Nokia's technology is expected to facilitate faster roll-outs and cost efficiencies.
Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IP Networks at Nokia, noted, “Collaborating with CoreSite has enabled us to drive the performance and scale of its multicloud connectivity and routing core. The integration of the Nokia 7250 IXR-s and 7750 Service Router allows CoreSite to adeptly manage increased traffic demands while ensuring low latency and reliable interconnection services that are essential to the modern digital economy.”
