Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. Defense Unit Receives Over $7 Million for EnduroStream SSPAs

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. said its Gilat Defense unit received an order worth more than $7 million connected to Gilat Wavestream’s EnduroStream solid-state power amplifier solution. The order was placed through a prime contractor and ties to support for the U.S. Department of War, with delivery expected over the next 24 months.

The company framed the purchase as a step toward a new class of high-power SSPA capabilities for defense communications, specifically aimed at gateway and high-power terminal applications. It said the EnduroStream line was designed to replace traveling wave tube amplifiers for those use cases.

In functional terms, EnduroStream was described as introducing a new class of high-power SSPAs with built-in resiliency. Gilat said the solution was built to deliver the power levels required for mission-critical defense environments while providing improved reliability, operational resilience, and lifecycle advantages compared with TWTA-based solutions.

Gilat said the work supported by the order will be delivered across a 24-month period. Edgar Khachatryan, President, Gilat Wavestream, said, “This order confirms the need for a purpose-built, high-power solid-state solution that delivers the inherent advantages of SSPAs while meeting stringent power and resiliency requirements for modern military SATCOM,” adding, “It clearly establishes EnduroStream as a solution for defense customers looking to modernize ground infrastructure and transition to more resilient and maintainable architectures without compromising performance.”
