Gilat Satellite Networks receives $43 million in Sidewinder ESA orders

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. reported additional orders totaling $43 million for its Sidewinder electronically steered antenna (ESA) terminals, with deliveries planned over the next 18 months. The company said the work supports ongoing demand for airline connectivity equipment.

Gilat linked the orders to requirements for low-profile connectivity systems aimed at usability, reliability, scalability, and global coverage. It also said satellite operators are shifting toward antennas intended to work with multi-orbit network architectures.

According to Gilat, Sidewinder ESA terminals support operation across multiple satellite constellations. The company said this approach enables more efficient use of available capacity while maintaining stable, high-throughput connectivity for airline passengers.

Gilat said the additional orders came from a major in-flight connectivity service provider, with delivery planned in both line-fit and retrofit configurations. Mike Pigott, President of Gilat Stellar Blu, said, “These significant orders reflect the continued evolution of IFC networks toward high-performance, scalable, multi-orbit architectures,” and, “Sidewinder was designed for this environment, enabling service providers to deliver reliable, high-quality connectivity across diverse routes and increasingly complex network requirements.”

Gilat included forward-looking statements about expectations for future results, performance, and achievements, including risks and uncertainties described in its filings.
