Gilat DataPath Receives $11 Million in U.S. Department of War Orders
Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. reported $11 million in orders for field services and custom SATCOM terminals tied to its Gilat DataPath business. The orders came from the U.S. Department of War and called for deliveries over the next 12 months, connecting Gilat’s satellite communications capabilities to defense communications needs.
Gilat said the new orders added to its U.S. defense activity base and reflected what it described as continued and expanding confidence in Gilat Defense’s services and terminal capabilities. The company linked the field services and terminals to communications operations where connectivity needs to remain resilient across battlefield conditions.
According to the company, the custom SATCOM terminals used in the contract featured ruggedized construction and advanced multi-orbit operability. Gilat said the terminals were designed to meet unique military requirements while supporting resilient connectivity across a full spectrum of battlefield conditions, along with dynamic capabilities for trusted satellite communications services in the field.
Nicole Robinson, President of Gilat DataPath, said, “These awards reflect the U.S. Department of War’s continued confidence in Gilat Defense’s ability to deliver reliable services and purpose-built SATCOM solutions for mission-critical defense operations,” and added, “We are proud to support the Department’s operational communications needs and to continue expanding Gilat Defense’s role as a trusted partner to U.S. defense customers.” Gilat DataPath said deliveries under the orders were expected over the next 12 months. Forward-looking statements in the filing addressed risks that could cause results to differ from expectations.
