Etiya expands BSS platform to include Freedom Mobile
Etiya expanded its partnership with Quebecor to include Freedom Mobile, creating one of the world's first multi-brand, cloud-native Business Support System (BSS) environments built on a single unified architecture.
The extended engagement was described as a pivotal component of Freedom Mobile's digital vision and aimed to ensure an ever-improving customer experience by supporting end-to-end customer journeys across channels.
The program's scope included digital front-end applications supporting retail stores, call centers and back-office operations, and core BSS capabilities such as CRM, Product Catalogue Management, CPQ, Order Management and Orchestration, Online Charging System, Mediation, Billing, Interconnect, service order management and provisioning, Application Programming Interface (API) gateway, rule engine, resource inventory, customer service management, data warehouse, authentication and notification systems, and a migration solution.
Etiya expanded its platform across Freedom Mobile's operations to support retail stores, call centres and back-office teams and to create a unified, multi-brand cloud-native BSS environment on a single architecture.
“This partnership is the next step in our ongoing digital evolution,” said Mohamed Drif, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Freedom Mobile. “By leveraging Etiya's BSS platform, which has already been proven within the Quebecor family, Freedom Mobile will be even better positioned to bring new products to market more quickly, like our recently launched Fixed Wireless offering, and to deliver the seamless, modern experience our customers expect from our brands.”
The transformation is designed to transition Freedom Mobile from a legacy monolithic architecture to a cloud-native, microservices-based environment, with objectives to improve operational agility, reduce system complexity, eliminate release bottlenecks, and enable faster introduction of new products and services.
