Rafay Systems and DataDirect Networks collaborate on AI infrastructure
Rafay Systems and DataDirect Networks (DDN) said they have entered a collaboration aimed at supporting organizations building and operating next-generation Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The effort focuses on how enterprises and neocloud providers operationalize large-scale AI environments, where infrastructure operations and data platforms are both part of delivering production workloads.
As GPU-based AI environments scale, the companies said infrastructure teams address operational, governance, and lifecycle management across deployments that span compute, data, and cloud-native infrastructure layers. The collaboration is framed around providing support for organizations deploying large-scale AI infrastructure environments.
Rafay provides platform services described as self-service automation, governance, and multi-tenancy for cloud-native environments and infrastructure operations across distributed compute environments. DDN’s data intelligence platform is described as powering high-performance storage and data management solutions for AI training and inference workloads.
Within the collaboration, Rafay Systems and DDN said they will work together to support deployment and operationalization of production AI environments, including simplified operational approaches for GPU-powered AI environments and streamlined infrastructure lifecycle management across platform teams. Both companies plan to participate in NVIDIA GTC 2026 in San José, California.
“Organizations building AI infrastructure are looking for ways to simplify operations while maintaining performance and flexibility,” said Haseeb Budhani, CEO and co-founder of Rafay Systems. “DDN has long been recognized for its leadership in powering AI data infrastructure. We look forward to collaborating to support customers building the next generation of AI environments.” “AI workloads require both high-performance data platforms and efficient infrastructure operations,” said Alex Bouzari, CEO and co-founder of DataDirect Networks. “As organizations scale AI from experimentation to production, collaboration across the ecosystem helps accelerate the deployment of large-scale AI environments.”
