ERI contributes to Circular Electronics Design Guide

ERI contributed its e-waste recycling and reuse expertise to the Circular Electronics Design Guide, published by the Circular Electronics Partnership. This guide aims to provide strategic insights for circular innovation in the electronics industry.

With insights from over 60 experts and 25 organizations, including ERI’s Chief Sustainability Officer David Hirschler and Vice President of Operational Strategy Anthony Borges, the guide focuses on actionable strategies for repair, refurbishment, and recycling. It contains practical tools to support practitioners in scaling circular initiatives, essential for transitioning to a circular economy.

Key elements include a blueprint for establishing a circular innovation process, tools for enhancing repair and recycling initiatives, and case studies from industry leaders on overcoming challenges. ERI collaborated with various enterprises such as Accenture, Microsoft, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation during the development of this guide.

John Shegerian, ERI’s Chairman and CEO, stated, “This guide is one of the most comprehensive resources on circular design developed by practitioners for practitioners. It is the result of an extensive cross-company effort, and we are proud to have been asked to play a role.”
