Darktrace receives Customers’ Choice in Gartner Peer Insights for Email Security Platforms
Darktrace said it received a Customers’ Choice designation in the 2026 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Email Security Platforms for the second consecutive year. The company cited an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 for Darktrace / EMAIL based on 413 verified end-user reviews recorded as of June 2026.
The review figures are drawn from Gartner Peer Insights end-user feedback tied to the email security platforms included on the site. Gartner Peer Insights described that the Customers’ Choice badge is granted to vendors that meet or exceed both the market average Overall Experience and the market average User Interest and Adoption score through a Customers’ Choice distinction.
Darktrace said Darktrace / EMAIL uses Adaptive AI that continuously learns from an organization’s activity to build understanding of each user, mailbox, relationship, and communication pattern. The release said the approach differs from legacy tools that rely on shared customer data, centralized threat databases, traditional rules, or signatures, and that it can take targeted action when suspicious activity is detected.
Darktrace said it expanded Darktrace / EMAIL over the past year to defend against targeted, AI-enabled social engineering attacks across email and collaboration channels, and it highlighted cross-channel, full-message analysis across Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Zoom. In March 2026, Darktrace introduced Darktrace / Adaptive Human Defense™, and it also described a first-party integration between DMARC attack surface management and email security. Chris Kozup, Chief Marketing Officer at Darktrace, said, “As AI becomes embedded across the business, security teams need to protect not only their AI systems and infrastructure, but also the people and workflows AI depends on,” and added, “Darktrace / EMAIL brings our Adaptive AI approach to one of the most common entry points for cyber risk, helping customers detect targeted attacks, stop account misuse and reduce risk across email and collaboration tools.”
Darktrace also referenced other Gartner recognitions during the past year, including being named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Detection and Response for the second consecutive year.
