Darktrace announced the general availability of Darktrace / SECURE AI, a product aimed at giving enterprises visibility into how AI is used and whether activity aligns with policy and intended purpose.
The company said enterprise AI adoption has been widespread and fragmented, with over 80% of its customers using generative AI services and an average organization interacting with five different AI providers in August 2026. Darktrace also said early deployments showed AI activity extending beyond what security teams expected.
Darktrace said its Behavioral Defense Platform learns what is normal for each organization and uses that context to evaluate behavior. Darktrace / SECURE AI extends this approach to prompts, users, agents, and AI systems, combining real-time visibility, policy governance, and the ability to act when risks emerge.
In support of those capabilities, Darktrace said Darktrace / SECURE AI provides shadow AI management through Darktrace telemetry and SASE integrations, prompt analysis across platforms including Amazon Bedrock, ChatGPT Enterprise, and Claude, and policy management using a free-form policy upload capability. The company also described AI agent identities and actions, plus AI agent development risk management across low-code and high-code environments, with availability now to new and existing Darktrace customers.
