CompTIA hosted a session at the TechNet Augusta 2025 conference focused on enhancing cybersecurity readiness through the integration of people, data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Set to take place on August 20, the session, titled “The Cybersecurity Viability Trifecta: Visibility, Observability, and Properly-Trained AI,” will address how organizations can manage vulnerabilities and incidents with a data-driven approach.

James Stanger, chief technology evangelist at CompTIA, emphasized that the session will cover techniques and technologies such as proactive systems analysis, AI-driven analysis, packet decryption, and packet brokers. “This ‘cybersecurity viability trifecta’ increases an organization’s ability to anticipate cybersecurity issues and threats and respond as needed,” he said.

Furthermore, the panel will include insights from Josh Brunvoll, senior solutions engineer at Cribl; Zachary Vaughn, director of federal cybersecurity engineering at Vectra AI; and Brennen Wright, senior federal solutions architect at Keysight Technologies. Topics will range from analyzing the technology footprint using both traditional and AI-based approaches to addressing challenges posed by evolving attack surfaces and regulatory compliance demands.

The session qualifies for two hours of continuing education (CE) credit for CompTIA certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Cloud+, DataSys+, Linux+, Network+, and Security+. Interested attendees can obtain additional information and register for the session.

Stanger will also be part of a second session on August 20, discussing the DoD Cyber Workforce Qualification Program and strategies to ensure readiness in cybersecurity workforce talent. This discussion will feature Matthew Isnor from the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer and Brian Correia from GIAC, focusing on the establishment of baseline qualification standards.
