Aptean Introduces AppCentral AI Agents for Business Central On-Premises
Aptean said it made an exclusive preview available of its AppCentral AI platform and AI Agents for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises customers. The preview is intended for partners working with organizations that have not moved to the cloud, with the event previewing in connection with Directions North America and Directions ASIA 2026.
For Business Central deployments that run on premises, the company said the offering addresses a lack of a practical path to AI. Aptean positioned the approach around keeping on-premises data on premises and avoiding migration to Business Central online, while updating agents centrally through the partner channel.
AppCentral lets users type questions in everyday language, and Aptean said pre-built integrations connect an agent to the customer’s live Business Central environment without customer build or configuration. The agent then reads live operational data, performs analysis, and returns recommendations in plain English, without reimplementation or migration to Business Central online.
The initial release includes 10 AI agents covering finance, quality, supply chain, sales, procurement, inventory, warehouse, and production, accessible through Agent Central in AppCentral. Aptean said partners can also configure up to 20 intelligent workflows per customer, and that partners can deploy the full agent suite for a customer in under a week. “For the first time, our partners have a ready-to-sell AI platform and agent suite for their Business Central on-premises customers — with no migration to Business Central online and no lengthy implementation required. They can deploy in days and start delivering business outcomes almost immediately. That's a new conversation with every customer who thought AI wasn't available to them yet.” said Kara McClain, VP Global Partner Program, Aptean. “Until now, AI in the Microsoft Business Central ecosystem has been an online-only story. Aptean's AI platform, AppCentral, removes that barrier. Partners can walk into any Business Central on-premises conversation - across current and prior versions - and offer something truly transformative. That's not an incremental opportunity; it's a new market.” said Bruno Johansson, SVP Product and Technology, Aptean. Aptean said partners could preview AppCentral and the AI agents at Directions ASIA 2026, Booth S9, 13–15 May, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
