Aptean introduces AI platform and AI agents for Business Central On-Premises Customers
Aptean is offering an exclusive preview of AppCentral, its AI platform, along with AI Agents for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for on-premises customers. The preview is scheduled during Directions ASIA 2026, where partners will first view the solution in use.
The company said it was designed for Business Central on-premises deployments that do not have a practical path to AI. Aptean described a model in which on-premises data remains on-premises, with no migration to Business Central online required for deploying the agents.
AppCentral includes an AppCentral connector that links an agent directly to a customer’s live Business Central environment, with no customer build or configuration described. Aptean stated that agents read live operational data, perform analysis, and return recommendations in plain English, and that partners can deploy the full agent suite for a customer in under a week.
Aptean said the initial release includes 10 AI agents covering finance, quality, supply chain, sales, procurement, inventory, warehouse, and production, accessible through Agent Central within AppCentral. The company added that partners can configure up to 20 Intelligent Workflows per customer, described as automated sequences triggered by events or schedules. Kara McClain, VP Global Partner Program, Aptean, said, “For the first time, our partners have a ready-to-sell AI platform and agent suite for their Business Central on-premises customers — with no migration to Business Central online and no lengthy implementation required.” Bruno Johansson, SVP Product and Technology, Aptean, said, “Until now, AI in the Microsoft Business Central ecosystem has been an online-only story. Aptean's AI platform, AppCentral, removes that barrier.”
