Aptean Names Yama Habibzai Chief Marketing Officer
Aptean named Yama Habibzai as Chief Marketing Officer, adding a new leadership role as the company deepened AI capabilities within its industry-specific software portfolio and expanded its global presence in manufacturing and distribution markets.
The appointment places Habibzai in a company-wide effort described in the release as embedding AI across what Aptean builds, while scaling operations tied to manufacturing and distribution markets.
The release said Aptean planned to deepen its vertical AI capabilities across its industry-specific portfolio, and that it would scale its global presence in manufacturing and distribution markets.
Habibzai joined Aptean in the Chief Marketing Officer role after more than 25 years of experience scaling enterprise software and cloud companies during periods that included IPOs and major acquisitions. The release cited his most recent marketing leadership at Device42 through its acquisition by Freshworks, as well as prior senior marketing roles at Netcordia, Infoblox, SevOne, ScienceLogic, and IBM Cloud. TVN Reddy, CEO at Aptean, said, “Aptean is at an inflection point,” and added, “We are embedding AI natively across everything we build, and we need a marketing leader who can communicate that transformation with clarity and conviction.” Habibzai said, “The opportunity here is significant,” and added, “Manufacturing and distribution are being fundamentally reimagined by AI, and Aptean is at the center of that shift.” The release also listed Habibzai’s degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Babson College.
Moving forward, Aptean said it will embed AI natively across what it builds and continue scaling its global presence in manufacturing and distribution markets.
