ZTE Corporation showcases AI devices at MWC Barcelona 2026

ZTE Corporation showcased an expanded portfolio of Artificial Intelligence (AI) devices at MWC Barcelona 2026, presenting hardware and software the company described as designed for a new Edge Resource Allocator (ERA) of interaction and for changes in personal device interaction.

The organization positioned the devices within its “AI for All” strategy and described them as part of efforts toward the evolution of personal smart devices and a Full-Scenario AI Ecosystem.

One device, the nubia M153 with Doubao AI Assistant, incorporated an OS-level Agent capable of understanding and executing complex natural-language commands and performing cross-application, multi-step workflows such as searching, comparing, booking and mapping. The phone included a Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, 16GB of Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512GB of storage. The iMoochi AI Privacy-Enhancing Technology (PET) combined a furry, cloud-soft exterior and soulful eyes with multi-modal interactions, an “iMoochi language,” distinct “milky coos,” haptic feedback and tactile sensors; it exhibited behaviors described as yawning when sleepy, feeling hunger, sensing temperature changes and reacting to weightlessness.

ZTE described the nubia M153 as the outcome of an in-depth collaboration between Doubao and nubia at the Operating System (OS) level, and said the device saw a limited launch in the Chinese market on December 1, 2025. The iMoochi line included five named members — Hopami, Mimiu, Cynomi, Mogogo and Morin — and a companion app that allowed users to name the device, check its mood and read its diary; the company described users such as young urban professionals, animal lovers unable to keep real pets and families as potential audiences.

ZTE described plans to continue its AI for All strategy and to advance a Full-Scenario AI Ecosystem.
