Vertiv introduces 142kW cooling architecture for NVIDIA's GB300 NVL72 platform as SimReady™ assets.

Vertiv unveiled an energy-efficient 142kW cooling and power reference architecture designed for the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform. This new architecture integrates advanced cooling and power management strategies aimed at supporting higher rack power densities, up to 142kW per rack.

Through collaboration with NVIDIA, Vertiv developed the reference architecture to optimize data center infrastructure. This design offers customizable solutions intended to reduce planning times and risks associated with construction. Vertiv solutions are also available as SimReady™ 3D assets for the NVIDIA Omniverse, enabling better design and operational simulations.

Scott Armul, executive vice president at Vertiv, stated, “Vertiv is proud to release our comprehensive reference design... to optimize their AI-focused data centers digitally before a single physical module is built.” In conjunction, Dion Harris, senior director at NVIDIA, noted the partnership provides customers with improved performance and preparedness for demanding Artificial Intelligence (AI) workflows.

This reference architecture is part of Vertiv’s larger 360AI infrastructure platform, which addresses the increasing demands of AI workload management and High performance computing (HPC) applications. Key aspects of this system include high-density support, rapid deployment capabilities, and flexible thermal solutions designed to enhance energy efficiency.
