Varonis Systems receives GovRAMP Authorization for Data Security Platform
Varonis Systems, Inc. reported that its Data Security Platform received GovRAMP Authorization. The company said the credential relates to how state and local government agencies and their vendors assess and authorize cloud services.
In the company’s description, government organizations manage regulated data across on-prem, cloud, and AI systems. Varonis said GovRAMP authorization for its platform confirmed it met security requirements for state, local, tribal, and educational government agencies.
Varonis stated it maintains a portfolio of U.S. and international certifications. It cited FedRAMP, TXRAMP, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 as examples of certifications used to demonstrate security and compliance coverage for both public- and private-sector organizations.
Dror Shemesh, CISO at Varonis, said, “Government organizations are under pressure to manage and safeguard vast amounts of regulated data across on-prem, cloud, and AI systems,” and added, “Varonis has long supported the SLED sector, and achieving GovRAMP validates our ability to meet stringent security and compliance requirements with solutions that continuously and automatically protect data at scale.”
