Varonis Extends AI Security Coverage to Claude Code and Claude Cowork
Varonis Systems, Inc. said Varonis Atlas expanded its AI security coverage to include Claude Code and Claude Cowork within Anthropic’s Claude enterprise suite. The update addressed security monitoring and enforcement for agent activity tied to software development and file work.
The company said the Atlas coverage supported enterprises that rely on Claude Code and Claude Cowork, including agentic AI for software development and file-based knowledge work. Varonis linked the expansion to the need for runtime enforcement and coverage that reflects risk when an agent receives access.
Varonis Atlas for Claude Code included AI Runtime Guardrails, AI Activity Monitoring, AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), and AI Inventory. For Claude Cowork, Atlas included AI Runtime Guardrails and AI Activity Monitoring and Investigations, with event context tied to user, project, and resource and the ability to catch a redirected agent mid-session.
Varonis said the announcement followed its integration with the Claude Compliance API and that the two integrations gave security teams a continuous view across the full Claude enterprise stack. The company said Varonis Atlas was available today, and quoted Ron Bennatan, VP of AI and Data Security at Varonis: “Security has to meet agents where they operate, and that means runtime enforcement,” said Ron Bennatan. “Whether it’s Claude Code committing to a repository or Claude Cowork rewriting files on someone’s desktop, the risk shows up when an agent gets access, not after the fact. Coverage that stops at one surface leaves you with a big blind spot.”
