Univers launches Global Impact AI Lab with AMD, Microsoft, and NUS

Univers launched the Global Impact Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab (Identity Assurance Level (IAL)) in collaboration with Automated Model Deployment (AMD), Microsoft, and the National University of Singapore. This initiative aims to fast-track enterprise-scale AI and Internet of Things (IoT) innovations, supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore.

Identity Assurance Level (IAL) focuses on enhancing efficiency across three strategic areas: energy, operational, and system efficiency. The lab seeks to integrate leading technology and academic expertise for edge-to-cloud intelligence.

At the launch on October 28, Senior Minister of State Tan Kiat How emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing digital and AI capabilities in Singapore. Michael Ding, Global Executive Director of Univers, stated that the lab connects industry leaders to transform AI and IoT concepts into practical solutions.

The collaboration aims to address real-world business challenges while enabling faster decision-making and operational agility. Univers recently ranked as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Industrial IoT Platforms, highlighting its execution capabilities and strategic partnerships.

Partners contributed their strengths: AMD focused on real-time, secure AI for distributed operations; Microsoft emphasized integrated AI and cloud solutions; and NUS is committed to developing AI talent through practical experiences. These partnerships support the lab’s goal of delivering scalable, commercially viable solutions across multiple sectors.
