Supermicro, Inc. launches CNode-X AI data platform

Supermicro, Inc. and VAST Data launched CNode-X, a new integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) data platform that combined high-performance compute, scalable data infrastructure, and intelligent software into a ready-to-run solution for enterprise AI deployments.

The companies described plans to accelerate AI factory deployment and to support enterprise applications such as Generative AI (GenAI) and video analytics, and they highlighted shorter time from deployment to first token as an operational objective.

The stack combined Supermicro Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and storage servers with the VAST AI Operating System (OS), including the VAST InsightEngine and VAST DataBase, alongside NVIDIA open models, microservices and libraries; the platform followed the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference architecture and incorporated GPU acceleration for data vectorization, vector database searching, and inference workloads.

The implementation included validated hardware platforms using the Supermicro CloudDC AS-1116CS-TN and the SYS-212GB-FNR 2U multi-GPU compute server supporting two NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, an updated EBox solution with AMD EPYC 9005 CPUs, options to serve as a storage layer with Supermicro 8-way GPU and HGX B300 servers, rack integration and testing services, and single-pane management via the SuperCloud Suite.

“Building on our successful collaboration with VAST Data, this solution brings together Supermicro's high-performance AI systems, VAST's software, and NVIDIA's technology into a truly integrated enterprise AI platform,” said Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro. “Together, we enable organizations to accelerate AI factory deployment, whether scaling large AI initiatives or deploying enterprise applications like generative AI and video analytics.”

“CNode-X brings together Supermicro's integrated infrastructure expertise with the VAST AI Operating System and NVIDIA-accelerated compute to deliver a turnkey foundation for enterprise AI factories,” said John Multi-Agent Orchestrator (MAO), Vice President, Global Technology Alliances at VAST Data. “Together, we're making it dramatically easier for organizations to deploy an end-to-end AI data platform – keeping GPUs fed with data, helping teams move faster from deployment to first token, and scaling AI workloads with confidence.”
