Supermicro Expands AI Server Offerings with AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs
Supermicro introduced its new 10U air-cooled server featuring AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs, optimized for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and inference tasks. This system enhances performance with a fourfold increase in AI compute capabilities and a 35-fold improvement in inferencing performance, thereby catering to organizations that require high-end computing in air-cooled environments.
This launch is part of Supermicro's Data Center Building BlockĀ® architecture, ensuring reliable and efficient performance that supports shorter development cycles. The enhanced design enables faster time-to-market for enterprises leveraging these solutions, allowing for better scalability and efficiency in data processing.
Vik Malyala, Senior Vice President of Technology and AI at Supermicro, emphasized the company's experience in providing high-performance solutions for AI and High performance computing (HPC). The new air-cooled server expands Supermicro's portfolio of AI solutions, giving customers additional options for building modern data centers.
Supermicro's latest offerings also align with the AMD 4th Gen CDNA architecture, aiming to facilitate advanced AI performance across cloud service providers and enterprises. The servers are currently on display at the Supercomputing Conference in St. Louis, MO, and are available for shipping.
