StarHub Ltd. launched 5G+ in Singapore, using the deployment of 700MHz spectrum to support wider coverage and faster speeds indoors and underground. The rollout is tied to StarHub’s 5G mobile plans and is designed to improve connectivity in locations where signal performance is often tested.
StarHub said 700MHz can reach deeper into buildings and harder-to-reach spaces, and that 5G+ delivers wider coverage with speeds of up to four times faster indoors and underground. The company added that existing customers on StarHub 5G mobile plans will receive 5G+ automatically, while new customers will get it from day one.
StarHub described 5G+ use across a range of locations, including office towers, crowded malls, basements, car parks, and live events. For enterprise customers, the company said its Enterprise Priority Services can prioritize network access for key users and workflows when demand is high to support field operations and collaboration tools.
StarHub tied the 5G+ launch to a one-day event at Lau Pa Sat on 2 September 2026, scheduled from 11.30am to 3pm. The company said diners could receive unlimited complimentary ice cream, with Zermatt Neo starting a lunchtime eating challenge that would be livestreamed on TikTok using StarHub’s 5G+ network.
“For one day only on 2 September 2026, StarHub is bringing ‘more’ to lunchtime at Lau Pa Sat.” said StarHub. “From 11.30am to 3pm, diners can enjoy unlimited complimentary ice cream as part of StarHub’s 5G+ launch celebrations.” said StarHub.
