OneLayer was named in two Gartner research publications published in 2026 that address how enterprises secure private 5G networks used for AI and how AI-powered security applies within enterprise communication services. The citations connect OneLayer’s private cellular security approach with Gartner’s discussion of security needs for cellular-connected devices.

Gartner’s Private 5G for AI Outcomes reference architecture brief described private 5G networks as a connectivity foundation for AI and MLOps, including physical AI, distributed inferencing, and IT/OT integration. In the related Gartner Hype Cycle for Data, Analytics and AI for Enterprise Communication Services, 2026, Gartner described AI-powered security in enterprise communication services as using advanced AI, machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI for automation across diverse security data sources.

In the reference architecture brief, Gartner stated that infrastructure architects can use the reference architecture for a structured enterprise view of a private 5G mobile network. In the Hype Cycle publication, Gartner also described AI-powered security in enterprise communication services leveraging advanced AI, machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI to automate real-time threat detection, investigation, and response.

The OneLayer inclusion followed Gartner research that references enterprises pairing private 5G networks with AI workloads and connecting cameras, sensors, robotics, and other AI-enabled equipment directly to the networks. The release said OneLayer provides security and network teams real-time visibility into every device connecting over a private or carrier APN network, using device fingerprinting and behavioral profiling to create a continuous inventory, and that the inventory supports Zero Trust policies enforced at the SIM and network layer.

“Private 5G networks offer a connectivity foundation for AI and MLOps including physical AI, distributed inferencing, information technology/operational technology integration and operational efficiency. Infrastructure architects can use this reference architecture for a structured enterprise view of a private 5G mobile network.”
