SEALSQ Corp unveils Quantum Shield QS7001, plans new U.S. center

SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) introduced the Quantum Shield QS7001, the first secure chip to feature NIST-standardized Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) algorithms directly integrated into the hardware. The official launch is scheduled for mid-November 2025, following a presentation at the IQT Quantum+AI 2025 Conference in New York, where CEO Carlos Moreira highlighted its capabilities during Healthcare Information System (HIS) keynote on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum security.

The Quantum Shield QS7001 incorporates ML-KEM (CRYSTALS-Kyber) and ML-DSA (CRYSTALS-Dilithium) algorithms in silicon, providing performance enhancements and improved resistance to side-channel attacks and tampering. This open hardware platform allows for customization and hybrid cryptography migration, with development kits to be available by mid-November 2025 and QVault Trusted Platform Module (TPM) variants expected in early 2026.

The emergence of quantum computing poses risks to existing Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Runtime Security Agent (RSA) systems that secure essential infrastructures in defense, healthcare, and energy sectors. With new federal mandates requiring PQC implementation by 2030, SEALSQ's Quantum Shield QS7001 offers a robust hardware solution against future quantum threats and mitigates risks of data harvesting.

SEALSQ is among fewer than ten companies globally certified to Common Criteria EAL5+ and Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-3 standards. The company has secure personalization facilities in Switzerland and France, with plans for expansion in Spain, India, the Middle East, and the United States. Currently, the company is assessing California and Arizona for a new Post-Quantum Personalization Center dedicated to secure chip provisioning.

With over 1.75 billion devices secured worldwide, SEALSQ focuses on delivering secure hardware and trusted services, maintaining its role in post-quantum security solutions.
