SEALSQ Corp expands French operations to about 200 staff
SEALSQ's French entities, SEALSQ France and IC’Alps, expanded operations in France and employed approximately 200 professionals across Toulouse, Aix-en-Provence, and Grenoble; the company said this change reflected a long-term commitment to France and a concentration of activity in secure semiconductors and post-quantum technologies.
France had made major strategic investments in semiconductors that, the release said, produced a deep, highly qualified talent pool in chip design, microelectronics, cryptography, and advanced manufacturing. SEALSQ France combined that national expertise with quantum experts to develop next-generation post-quantum semiconductors and quantum-ready technologies, and it continued active recruitment across its sites.
SEALSQ France developed a new generation of post-quantum semiconductors designed to protect critical digital infrastructures against the threat posed by quantum computing. The company described an integrated approach spanning Root of Trust to Qubit and noted its portfolio included semiconductors, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), provisioning services, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
To date, the Group invested over USD 50 million in France to support Research and Development (R&D), industrial capabilities, and high-value job creation. SEALSQ France developed products embedding PQC and integrated teams from recent acquisitions to expand capabilities in secure semiconductors, PKI, and quantum technologies.
“With France’s long-term investments in semiconductors, we now have an exceptional concentration of talent,” said Bernard. “Quantum computing will redefine cybersecurity, sovereignty, and trust,” said Carlos Moreira CEO SEALSQ.
The Group said it planned to invest an additional USD 200 million and aimed to reach approximately 250 employees by the end of 2026.
