Samsung Electronics outlines Digital Appliances vision at CES 2026

Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances business presented its vision for Digital Appliances at CES 2026, framing the effort as an initiative to enable better living.

The session occurred as the press materials positioned Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an increasing factor in connected living and outlined regional approaches for 2026, noting North America product mixes including the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and stainless-steel kitchen packages, Europe's emphasis on energy efficiency with a cited washer EEI of 18.2 versus class A EEI 52, Latin America's laundry and Adaptive Incident Response (AIR) momentum, and Asia's focus on localized AI features and AI Energy Mode.

The company described Bespoke AI appliances as connected through SmartThings and equipped with Bixby voice recognition, screens and cameras that allow devices to see, hear and understand so they could proactively respond to users, and said this intelligent adaptation extended to TVs and mobile devices to create a broader AI ecosystem intended to fulfil the role of a Home Companion.

Samsung outlined that it tailored its 2026 appliance portfolio to regional needs and introduced highly efficient products, advanced HVAC solutions and built-in kitchen items; the release referenced energy testing for a 9kg Bespoke AI washer using the Eco 40-60 program and highlighted unified kitchen packages alongside the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo as part of the lineup.

“Samsung's ultimate goal is to enable a better living through Bespoke AI,” said Cheolgi Kim. “Through our extensive ecosystem that connects devices across DX products – including mobile phones and TV – and our appliances' unique form factors, we are providing differentiated experiences to our consumers and creating more value through those experiences.”

“At Samsung, we aim to deliver meaningful AI experiences that are deeply aligned with local lifestyles and needs,” said JS Moon. “As such, we will keep enhancing these regional features and expand core AI features such as AI Energy Mode to a wider range of price points and product types beyond premium lineups.” Samsung reaffirmed plans to expand into HVAC, modular homes and insurance-based care using open collaboration and regional customization.
