SailPoint adds Claude Compliance API connector for Claude Enterprise

SailPoint said it added a connector to its Identity Security Cloud that integrates with the Claude Compliance API for Claude Enterprise, aimed at visibility and governance over access and usage.

The company framed the change around how enterprises adopt AI tools and the resulting security challenges tied to access controls and compliance. It described the integration as extending identity security to Anthropic’s Claude Enterprise and addressing controls over non-human identities used in AI platforms.

SailPoint said the connector is intended to centrally manage Claude Enterprise users, groups, group members, and roles for consistent governance policies. The integration also covers governance of Claude AI agents through SailPoint’s single agent registry, and it applies access security using AI-powered platform context to describe who is accessing what, when, and why.

SailPoint stated the connector for the Claude Compliance API covering Claude Enterprise is available now for customers of the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. Chandra Gnanasambandam, EVP of Product and Chief Technology Officer, SailPoint, said, “While the industry discusses the future of AI security, SailPoint is delivering it today. As Anthropic makes its Compliance API available, SailPoint is building a meaningful, governance-focused integration,” and, “This gives our customers the ability to not just monitor, but truly govern their AI workforce from day one, treating AI platform access with the same rigor and contextual understanding as they would for a critical application or datastore.”

SailPoint also said it considers the definition of identity to include non-human entities such as machines, APIs, workloads, and AI agents, and it described the integration as addressing the risk of ungoverned and invisible usage referred to as “Shadow AI.”
