Renesas Electronics selects Jama Connect from Jama Software

Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, has selected Jama Connect, an engineering management platform from Jama Software, to support engineering process improvement and AI-enabled development across its semiconductor engineering organization.

As organizations weigh how to apply artificial intelligence across semiconductor product development, a reliable and connected base for requirements management, traceability, and collaboration has become increasingly important. That foundation spans hardware, software, systems engineering, quality, and product teams.

Renesas made its selection based on the platform’s ability to support multidisciplinary engineering teams. The capabilities cited include a flexible information model, end-to-end traceability, and collaborative development processes.

Renesas plans to use Jama Connect to improve visibility across engineering activities, strengthen collaboration among teams, and reinforce requirements management practices. Planned outcomes include improved lifecycle traceability, greater consistency of engineering information, more efficient onboarding and knowledge sharing, and scalable development processes supporting future innovation and growth.
