Platform9 launches Partner Program to help VMware customers migrate to Private Cloud Director using existing infrastructure

Platform9 has introduced a Partner Program designed to assist VMware customers in transitioning to its Private Cloud Director while utilizing their existing infrastructure. This initiative supports value-added resellers, systems integrators, and managed service providers by offering essential training, performance incentives, and migration services.

One of the initial partners, iShift, is currently facilitating the migration of 40,000 VMware virtual machines for a Fortune 500 client, achieving this at significantly lower costs compared to traditional methods. iShift CEO Mark Googins emphasized the alignment between their commitment to virtualization and Platform9's private cloud offerings, expressing confidence in their shared capabilities to simplify virtualization migration for enterprises.

The Platform9 Private Cloud Director is appealing to organizations with extensive VMware installations due to its intuitive interface, comprehensive virtualization management features, and compatibility with existing systems. As noted by Emilia A’Bell, Chief Revenue Officer at Platform9, the Partner Program reflects a strong commitment to supporting the channel community affected by changes in VMware business practices.

The Partner Program includes comprehensive enablement resources, lucrative margins, specialized migration services training, and deal registration incentives for partners who act swiftly in identifying migration opportunities. Additionally, Platform9 is establishing collaborations with technology vendors to facilitate customer transitions away from VMware, ensuring a smooth integration with a wide array of existing technology platforms.
