Pax8 launches Managed Intelligence solutions for partners
Pax8, a global AI and cloud Marketplace for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), introduced Managed Intelligence solutions intended to help partners package AI work as repeatable services and deliver measurable business results for SMB clients.
The company framed the move around a gap between AI use and execution. Pax8 research said 62% of SMBs believe AI will be required for competitiveness, and 74% said it helps them compete with larger firms, while nearly nine in ten small businesses were already using or experimenting with AI.
Pax8 tied its Managed Intelligence approach to a Managed Intelligence Provider (MIP) Program and Managed Intelligence Services (MIS), supported by the Pax8 Agent Store. The store served as an entry point with SMB-ready solutions, while MIS provided outcome-priced services led by Pax8 Professional Services experts. The model described partners maintaining the client relationship and revenue while Pax8 provided technical execution support.
At launch, MIS included Copilot Readiness Assessment, Transformation Discovery Assessment Agent, Workflow Automation and Agent Builds, and Microsoft 365 Data Protection using Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention. Pax8 also said its Agent Gateway, in preview with broader availability expected later this year, would govern identity, model and tool calls, and tokens, with multi-tenant isolation; it added that a separate agent orchestration and commercialization platform would enter closed beta in Q4. Chris Pottrell, Managing Director at Pax8 partner, Nebula IT, said, “The level of insight [Managed Intelligence Services] delivers is what we’d normally only achieve after several hours of in-person workshops,” said Chris Pottrell, Managing Director at Pax8 partner, Nebula IT. “By automating that discovery and capturing more honest, individual input, it gives us a clearer, more objective starting point. That not only shortens the sales cycle, but also helps us move faster into real transformation conversations, supporting our customers on their journey to becoming a Frontier firm.”
Craig Donovan, Chief Operating Officer at Pax8, said, “The partner who makes AI work for their clients wins,” said Craig Donovan, Chief Operating Officer at Pax8. “Right now, most of the market is stuck talking about AI or just reselling it. With the Managed Intelligence Provider Program and Managed Intelligence Services, we’re giving partners a way to run and scale their business around it.” Pax8 said Beyond 2026 attendees gained access to the Agent Store, MIP Program, and Managed Intelligence Services, with general availability planned for July.
