Mimecast partners with Zscaler to enhance cyber threat protection
Mimecast announced a strategic integration with Zscaler to enhance security measures against multi-vector cyber threats. This partnership aims to improve real-time security intelligence sharing between Mimecast’s email security platform and Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform. The collaboration responds to the increasing risks posed by collaboration tools, as highlighted in Mimecast's recent report, which states that 61% of organizations anticipate negative business impacts from attacks related to these tools.
As part of the integration, when Mimecast identifies a threat, it automatically sends a signal to Zscaler's platform to block the threat across different entry points such as Teams or Slack. Thus, organizations benefit from improved operational efficiency, allowing security teams to focus on core tasks without juggling multiple policies.
Furthermore, the integration provides consistent data protection across email and collaboration platforms, with Zscaler’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities ensuring sensitive content is scanned and managed effectively. This partnership aims to equip joint customers with enhanced threat sharing capabilities, fostering a proactive approach to cybersecurity measures.
Mimecast will showcase this technology at Zenith Live ‘25 in Las Vegas, where attendees can explore the integration's functionality and its impact on managing human risk.
