Infoblox completes Kentik acquisition to add network intelligence

Infoblox completed its acquisition of Kentik, adding Kentik’s real-time network intelligence and observability to Infoblox’s platform. The move matters because it combines network intelligence and infrastructure context intended to support operations that depend on trusted data.

After the close of the acquisition, Infoblox said it would advance its broader platform strategy by integrating Kentik’s capabilities with its critical network services, asset visibility, and preemptive security. Infoblox linked the integration to tighter operational context for networking, cloud, and security teams, including environments described as hybrid and multi-cloud.

Infoblox characterized Kentik’s contribution as live operational intelligence from network flow, routing, path and performance data. It said that combining this data with authoritative infrastructure context and network intelligence and observability would help organizations gain a more complete understanding of enterprise infrastructure and provide richer context for investigations and decision-making.

Infoblox planned to integrate Kentik’s capabilities into its platform over time, with additional product innovations and integration milestones to be shared as they became available.
