Gilat Satellite Networks wins multi-million dollar IFC order
Gilat Satellite Networks received a multi-million dollar order for Gilat Wavestream’s AeroStream Ka-band Wideband amplifiers to support the deployment of connectivity solutions on commercial aviation aircrafts.
The purchase was placed by an In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) Integrator and deliveries are expected over the next 24 months. Gilat identified Gilat Wavestream as a related business unit and reported that more than 5,000 aircraft were flying with Gilat Wavestream IFC products.
The AeroStream Ka transceiver was designed for IFC systems for commercial use and is certified for most commercial and business aircrafts. The company referenced the AeroStream 60W Ka band Wideband BUC and listed related product types in its portfolio, including Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) and Block Upconverters (BUC).
The order covered supply of AeroStream Ka-band Wideband amplifiers to support integration and fleet deployment on commercial aircraft, with deliveries scheduled across a two-year period.
“We are pleased to see continued demand and adoption of the AeroStream 60W Ka band Wideband BUC,” said Edgar Khachatryan, President, Gilat Wavestream. “Our Ka-band aviation solutions are designed to meet the operational and certification requirements of commercial aircraft, and with more than 5,000 aircraft flying with Gilat Wavestream IFC products, we continue to support large-scale, reliable connectivity deployments across the global aviation market.”
The release contained forward-looking statements and said Gilat undertook no obligation to update or revise those statements.
