Gilat Satellite Networks secures $60 million for in-flight connectivity terminals
Orders mark milestone for Gilat’s linefit Electrical Substation Automation (ESA) strategy, driving in-flight connectivity expansion
Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: GILT, TASE: GILT) has secured over $60 million in orders from a leading satellite operator for its Stellar Blu ESA Sidewinder in-flight connectivity terminals. The orders, which include hundreds of additional Sidewinder ESA terminals, are expected to be delivered within the next 12 months.
This contract supports new airline fleet awards in retrofit and initiates the first production run of Sidewinders for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) linefit terminal for Boeing. Tracy Trent, President of Gilat Stellar Blu, noted that the Stellar Blu Sidewinder ESA offers the performance and flexibility required by aviation customers and opens avenues to high-value markets including VVIP and special mission aircraft.
