Gilat Satellite Networks secures $42 million in orders for SkyEdge IV platform

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. announced its Commercial Division received $42 million in orders from a prominent satellite operator, primarily for its SkyEdge IV platform. Scheduled for delivery over the next 12 months, these orders will enhance the deployment of the platform across global satellite networks, including Geostationary Orbit (GEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and LEO Constellation (Low Earth Orbit) (LEO).

The SkyEdge IV platform supports critical applications such as In-Flight Connectivity (IFC), maritime mobility, enterprise broadband, and cellular backhaul. The platform's features facilitate the growing demand for high-speed broadband services globally, driven by increasing investments in satellite infrastructure and the rollout of free Wi-Fi on commercial flights.

Ron Levin, President of Gilat's Commercial Division, stated that these orders reflect strong confidence in the company's ground segment technology as it aligns with the expanding demand for global connectivity. The SkyEdge IV platform continues to support the needs of In-Flight Connectivity and various mobility applications that contribute to global interconnectedness.
