Fujitsu launches AI-based solution for supply chain resilience

Fujitsu Limited launched a new solution leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents to improve rapid impact analysis in global supply chains. This solution is part of the Fujitsu Data Intelligence Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) (DI PaaS) and targets enhanced resilience in supply chains affected by various disruptions.

The introduction of this solution comes as businesses confront increased uncertainty due to geopolitical risks, natural disasters, and market fluctuations. The manufacturing sector, which relies on complex global supply chains, faces increased risks that can lead to transportation disruptions and production challenges, prompting a need for improved business continuity planning.

Key features of the new solution include the ability to quickly analyze profit impacts from market changes, enabling analyses that previously took weeks to be completed in days. It offers three main functionalities: a Profit and Cost Structure Analysis that details supply chain risks; a Strategic Pricing Simulator that helps optimize pricing strategies based on demand; and an Operational Change Simulator that allows businesses to assess alternatives in sourcing and logistics.
