Fortinet Launches FortiSOC, a Unified SOC Platform Powered by Agentic AI
Fortinet introduced FortiSOC, a cloud-delivered security operations center (SOC) platform delivered as software-as-a-service. The release frames the update around consolidating multiple security operations functions into a single platform and adding agentic AI to investigate and correlate alerts under analyst oversight.
The company said FortiSOC brings together six security operations functions and is built on its security operations technologies. FortiSOC is positioned for simplifying and scaling SOC operations through a single console, one subscription, and one unified operating model.
FortiSOC unifies security information and event management (SIEM); security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR); threat intelligence; and behavioral and identity threat detection (ITDR). It embeds agentic AI to autonomously investigate and correlate alerts across assets and identities, then recommend or execute response actions under analyst oversight. FortiAI-Assist further applies autonomous investigation, AI-generated playbooks, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)-powered agent coordination across alerts, investigations, threat hunting, cases, and response actions.
FortiSOC extends Fortinet’s SOC platform portfolio by uniting and extending capabilities for customers that prefer a single cloud-based SOC platform model, complementing FortiAnalyzer, FortiSIEM, and FortiSOAR. IDC research is cited around analyst workflow, investigation experience, and cloud-delivered security operations. “Security teams today are being challenged by faster attacks, growing investigation volume, and fragmented operations that simply don’t scale,” said Michael Xie said.
