Daily Intelligence Brief: Univers, Akamai, Illumio, and CISA Developments - October 3, 2025

Univers launched EnOS™ Ark 2.0, designed to enhance energy savings and assist in decarbonization for enterprises. This Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution offers quick integration with existing infrastructures, providing real-time visibility and compliance reporting.

Ark 2.0 features AI-powered onboarding for better device setup, HVAC energy optimization achieving potential reductions of up to 20%, and centralized carbon management. Starbucks has utilized this solution across its global network of over 10,000 stores.

Akamai Technologies expanded its partnership with Apiiro to enhance application security during the software development lifecycle. This collaboration combines Akamai's Application Programming Interface (API) security platform with Apiiro's application security posture management (ASPM) tools, aiming to secure enterprise applications amid evolving cybersecurity challenges.

The partnership, initially established in 2024, now focuses on comprehensive visibility across application components to address risks within the software supply chain. Akamai's CTO emphasized that the integration would allow better management of application risk.

Illumio released its 2025 Global Cloud Detection and Response Report, revealing that 90% of organizations had cybersecurity incidents linked to lateral movement in the past year. Over 7 hours of downtime was reported as an average due to undetected threats, stressing the importance of better visibility and detection.

Additionally, CISA issued advisories on vulnerabilities affecting Raise3D Pro2 printers and Hitachi Energy products. They encourage users to review these advisories for guidance on mitigation strategies.
