Cognizant partners with Palantir on AI integration

Cognizant said it formed a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies to pursue AI-driven modernization in healthcare and enterprise operations.

Cognizant described the collaboration as part of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) builder strategy, combining AI platforms, industry expertise, intellectual property and services to modernize its operations and to work in complex, regulated environments with emphasis on responsible adoption, security and operational integrity.

The announcement said Cognizant would leverage Palantir Foundry and Palantir AI Platform (AIP) to advance AI integration within its TriZetto healthcare business, and stated that Palantir brought experience deploying AI platforms in mission-critical environments along with advanced data analytics capabilities that complemented Cognizant's global delivery scale.

The partnership combined Palantir Foundry and Application Integration Platform (AIP) with Cognizant's TriZetto healthcare platforms and business process operations.

“Enterprise AI doesn't fail because models are weak. It fails when AI lacks a shared, governed understanding of how the business actually operates – something only the Ontology can provide,” said Eric Lakin, US Commercial Lead at Palantir. “That's why we're excited to partner with Cognizant and bring AIP to TriZetto, embedding AI into core workflows to transform enterprises from the ground up.”

The companies said they planned to explore how AIP could support AI-driven optimization across TriZetto's healthcare platforms and BPaaS operations with a focus on high-value workflows in regulated, labor-intensive environments, and to pursue enterprise AI initiatives beyond healthcare.
